I am many things.

WHAT I am, at the core and most importantly, is a lover and a seeker.

WHO I am is an expressionist.

I am a mother, a wife, a homemaker, a counselor, a teacher, and a caregiver. I am a writer and an artist. I’d classify myself as hobbyist photographer and a “wannabe” musician. I love film, music, words – all the ART.  I love classic (not just cult) films, vinyl albums, and all manner of physical books.

I am a southerner, an outdoorsy person but also a homebody, and a realist. I enjoy making up recipes of food my family deems “delicious” and never recording the recipe or ever making the same dish again (to their disdain) and I am unashamedly addicted to coffee – nothing fancy or expensive, and I don’t really care for creamers and milk and all the “in” coffee things. The blacker and stronger, the better…preferably with chicory.

What I can’t stand:  labels, race, racism, ego, entitlement, and lower vibrations. HATE.

My biggest inspirations:  my son, nature, animals (all animals, not just “mine”), and all of the amazing people I meet on a daily basis. LOVE.

I’ve had an extremely difficult decade. The two thousand teens have taken me to the brink of my own life and back again so many times I’m often ashamed to admit it (but I do, because if I can help just one person to keep holding on and putting one foot in front of the other with expressions from my experiences, it is worth any “hate” I may receive).

The last seven years has taken almost everyone I have ever truly known and deeply loved out of this world and my life, including both my parents and my father in law, my life long best friend, my first two horses, and two of our precious inside furbabies. These losses have been massive for me – especially considering the level of caregiving required in some of these situations, which is a whole transformative journey in and of itself.

My steadfast friends and therapists – photography, videography, creating/mixing music, and editing – remain, and that’s how I have kept and continue to keep my sanity. Sharing my creations, images and edits of other’s images (with permission, always), and my thoughts about life, photography, and a number of other things is also a part of that sanity management.

Hence, this site.

I hope you enjoy your visit to this site, and (again) if you have any questions/suggestions please feel free to contact me. Thanks for visiting!
